In het weekend van 13/14 maart 2004 is de kerk in gebruik genomen. Het ontwerp is van de architectencentrale Thijs Asselbergs te Haarlem. In de kerkzaal is ruimte voor 400 kerkgangers. Daarnaast zijn er diverse grote en kleine nevenruimten voor zondags en doordeweekse activiteiten. Op 20 augustus 2004 is ook het orgel in gebruik genomen. Het is het Pels & van Leeuwen-orgel uit de gesloten kerk van De Lier. Het orgel is door Pels & Van Leeuwen overgebracht en schoongemaakt.
