Geschiedenis
Gebouwd als nieuwe synagoge, ter vervanging van eerdere gebouwen elders.
Architectonisch aardig, bescheiden, wederopbouwcomplex, met vierkante, piramidevormige hoofdruimte.
Buiten gebruik als synagoge 2010, en verkocht aan een Stichting, die dit gebouw nu "officieel" in gebruik heeft als Cultureel Centrum De Dorpsmaten.
De Oud-Katholieke Kerk, Statie Twente, met als naam St. Lebuïnus, is sindsdien hoofdgebruiker van dit gebouw voor tweewekelijkse zondagsvieringen. Eerder kerkte men in de Protestantse Kapel in Lonneker.
In deze voormalige synagoge is een modern, uit de Oud-Katholieke Kerk in Schiedam afkomstig, orgel geplaatst; in Schiedam was dit eerder in gebruik als koororgel.
